In the same way that we may generalize the military decisions of a country’s leaders to the entire population of that nation, isn’t it the time to generalize to our species as a whole the terrible destruction the worst offenders have wrought on this planet? We’ve sanctioned and boycotted artists, athletes, sports teams, and even the literature of one of the largest countries in the world because their politicians led them into war. Shouldn’t we also sanction the the most powerful species in the world for their mistakes?
