Seeing the world through her eyes.
“DROWNING” is an experimental shortfilm about a young women who is trying to overcome her abusive childhood by confronting her inner child with her past. All of this happens in a trance inbetween the forest and the sea in a dreamworld created by her mind.
Meanwhile the viewers get the chance to see the world through her eyes and experience how a violent childhood can affect a human being. The whole movie is accompanied by dramatic music dividing the movie into three acts which mark different phases of her coping experience.
At the end there is a moment where all elements connect and she becomes one with the nature.
