In 1968, Inês, a homosexual 18 year old girl, seeks her emancipation through the student movement when she is forbidden from attending law school.
For the students who lived 48 years under dictatorship, from those who celebrate 50 years of freedom.
"Daughters of the Fatherland" or "Filhas da Pátria" is a movie about the emancipation of a young woman and the power of her speaking out in a time and country where censorship prevailed.
