From 1939 to 1944, Julio Cortázar lived in Chivilcoy. There, he stayed at the Varzilio family's hostel and became good friends with Rosa, the owner's daughter. After his departure they frequently wrote letters to each other, which currently are in possesion of Elisa, Rosa's daughter. Sara Rodríguez, hailing from Chivilcoy and currently living in Buenos Aires, returns to her hometown to talk with Elisa and learn about this story. Through an interview and research, Sara delves into the details of that friendship. In this documentary, the present is intertwined with the past through scenes of Cortázar and Rosa. Furthermore, different fragments of the letters thread the narrative together. Elisa shares the letters with Sara and finally, inspired by the interview, they put together a podcast so she can read all the letters and tell her family's story.
